Waiting for help

“My Dad is 94 years old, they say they are assisted living, but they do t check on him regularly so I HAVE to pay for private caregivers. Yesterday, I went there at 5:15pm, and my Dad was not woken up and still in bed with NO food.”

★☆☆☆☆ · 2026-04-12 · Somerby Edgewater · source

“BEWARE OF MEMORY CARE!! Absolutely NOT a place where people that need help should go. Leaving someone in their room for 12 hours alone and not checking in on them once is terrible! Expressed concerns are blown off even with medical documentation. I will be talking to the DPOA to see if they will be filing a complaint with the state.”

★☆☆☆☆ · 2026-08-25 · The Enclave of Newell Creek · source

“This place is horrible! Recommended by A Place for Mom. Reasonably priced but the assisted care is non-existent. Poorly run from executive director to medical staff. Terrible staffing problems, terrible food, lack of compassion for residents, no follow through and phone calls, email and requests for information and direction ignored.”

For communities and operators

Families don’t just tour buildings. They tour for reassurance.

“What happens if my mom falls at 2 a.m.?” Communities that answer that clearly win the move-in — and write a different kind of review. See how Nobi communities say it out loud, on the tour and in the brochure.

What families ask on tour
01“How quickly will you know if she falls?”
02“Will someone check on her at night?”
03“How do you protect her privacy and her dignity?”
04“What happens before a fall, not just after?”
